Chii By Dance (Ancestor Ceremony/Ghost Dance) – Turtle Lodge, October 16 to 19, 2016

Elder Allan White shared a dream about MMIWG, as well as boys and men who have gone missing or who were murdered, at the Onjisay-Aki Youth Climate Summit led By First Peoples at Turtle Lodge September 16-19, 2016. The Elders have called for a special ceremony to honour the spirits that have been lost and also to help with the grieving that some of the families are feeling. This ceremony will be taking place at Turtle Lodge during the Chii By Ceremony (Ghost Dance/Ancestor Ceremony) from Oct 16-19, 2016 in the evenings. All are invited, with a special invitation to the families of those who have gone lost or missing, to help in the healing process. The Chii By Ceremony is a ceremony to honour the ancestors and those who have departed.  It takes place in the evenings.  Participants may choose to fast.
